It goes without saying that we were pretty sad when I. Marlene King's 'Pretty Little Liars' finally bade us farewell last year after a seven season run. Our sadness was pretty short lived, however for just a few months after the show came to a close, Freeform announced their plans for a spin-off. 'The Perfectionists' is to star Sasha Pieterse's Allison DiLaurentis and Janel Parrish's Mona Vanderwaal.

 PLL

The official synopsis for the new series is as follows: "Everything about the town of Beacon Heights seems perfect, from their top-tier college to their overachieving residents. But nothing in Beacon Heights is as it appears to be. The stress of needing to be perfect leads to the town's first murder. Behind every Perfectionist is a secret, a lie and a needed alibi."

Despite Lucy Hale letting on to the idea that "they're... going to film in Vancouver", filming will actually kick-off in Portland as early as this March, and according to Oregon Live, the production team are on the look-out for extras.

The ad

The advertisement for extras has been posted on the casting site called 'A Bit Extra Casting', and the notice simply reads: "We are looking to fill a lot of background roles for this opportunity. While we are looking to a hire a lot of college aged looking twenty-somethings, there will be roles available for people of all ages!"

If you're a huge PLL fan, it's the perfect opportunity to express your interest. Extras will reportedly be paid $11.25 (£8.10) per hour for their work, which is just over the 2018 minimum wage for 18-20 year olds (£5.90). Despite the pay, we doubt the company will be willing enough to foot the travel bill for any UK fans, but it's worth a try applying.
