American Crime Story

'American Crime Story' bases each of its seasons on some of the most famous crimes in the United States. 

Created by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, it premiered in 2016 under the True Crime genre. 

The first season produced by Ryan Murphy titled 'The People vs. O.J. Simpson' is based on the novels of writer and lawyer Jeffrey Toobin and focuses on the murder trial of American football player O.J. Simpson. 

The athlete was accused of killing his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ronald Goldman. Simpson was acquitted, later found guilty and fined, and finally in 2007 was arrested and sentenced to 33 years in prison.

It has a total of three seasons: the second titled 'The Assassination of Gianni Versace' (premiered in 2018) and the third titled 'Impeachment' (premiered in 2021), which delves into the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal.

Despite being renewed for a fourth season in 2023, it has not yet premiered and has uncertain production, as there is no completed and aired installment.

A high-quality cast stars in the series that will remain throughout all seasons. 

Cuba Gooding Jr plays O.J. Simpson, Sarah Paulson will portray Marcia Clark, the defense attorney for Simpson will be John Travolta, and David Schwimmer plays Robert Kardashian, friend and defense attorney of the former football player in the 90s.
