Sinopsis
('Murder, She Wrote') is a mystery series that turned crime into television as a new elegant and close experience for viewers.
The series is based on the character Miss Marple created by Agatha Christie, a writer of detective novels who lives in a picturesque village called 'Cabot Cove'.
Miss Marple is an apparently placid English teacher who, after the death of her husband, begins to write suspense and mystery novels. In addition to dedicating her free time to writing, she also starts solving several cases of murdered individuals.
Wherever she goes, whether from her home, a big city, or a trip abroad, there is always a murder waiting to be solved by the woman.
It showcases a character that contrasts with the trope of the detective in noir novels. Through a keen observer with great intuition and serene intelligence, the series adopts a gentle tone and a measured pace.
Moreover, the cozy atmosphere, classic structure, and charisma of the central character shine much more than any type of explicit violence that is expected from any series with crime as the central theme.
Angela Lansbury stars in 'Murder, She Wrote'. The series was very successful in the 80s and 90s. Peter S. Fischer, Richard Levinson, and William Link are the creators of 'Murder, She Wrote', which aired for over ten years, from 1984 to 1996.
