'Noir' trivia and fun facts
The cable television network Starz was planning to produce a live-action American remake of 'Noir' and that would be produced by Sam Raimi (Trilogy 'Spider-Man') and Rob Tapert ('Hercules', 'Xena: Warrior Princess'). In 2011, the project had got the green light to produce a first season of 8 to 13 episodes. Unfortunately, in January 2013 it was announced that the project was suspended indefinitely.
Noir was followed by two spiritual successors, Madlax and El Cazador de la Bruja. Together, these series constitute a trilogy exploring the "girls-with-guns" genre.
Despite being a series starring two serial killer in any chapter there is no blood. This is because aired in Japan on TV Tokyo, which has a signature ethical standards, including those not issue any content in the blood to see. Whereupon, they supplied the blood scenes stylistic movements with weapons.
