Founded her own production company Kobra Produktions GmbH together with husband Helge Weindler and Thomas Müller in 1989.
Has directed several operas such as "Così fan tutte" at the Berlin State Opera (2001) or "Rigoletto" at the Bavarian State Opera (2005).
Her husband Helge Weindler died during the shooting of '¿Bin ich schön?' (1998) in Spain (1996).
During her studies at the School of Television and Film in Munich, she wrote film reviews for daily newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung.
