'How To Be A Good Wife' subtitles Trailer

'How to be a good wife' is a french film about a girls school to teach them how to be submissive to their future husbands.

Robert Van Der Beck is the owner of a School of Housekeeping and Good Manners in Alsace. His wife Paulette Van Der Beck has been running the school for two decades alongside her stepsister Gilberte and the extravagant nun Marie-Therese. The teach young woman how to become the best wifes and housekeepers possible.

After a tragedy, Paulette discover the school is about to be financially ruined and she has to take over to save the institution. When she is trying to save the school, she meets again with her long-lost first love. He will insist they explore their former relationship. Meanwhile, France is completely involved in the 1968 revolution. This movement is changing the french and the international society, making women question authority. 'How To Be A Good Wife' shows its female characters discovering their own liberation and they fight for their own desires.

This film is directed by Martin Provost ('The Midwife', 'Séraphine'). He cowrotes the script with Séverine Werba ('Cannabis'). The cast includes important actresses such as Juliette Binoche ('The truth'), Yolande Moreau ('Capitaine Marleau'), Noémi Ivovsky ('Camille Redouble'), Marie Zabukovec ('Interrail'), also with Edouard Baer ('La lutte des classes') and François Berléand ('The Chorus').
