'Maigret' French Trailer

French original theatrical trailer of 'Maigret', directed by Patrice Leconte, written by Patrice Leconte and Jérôme Tornerre. Starring Gérard Depardieu.

30th feature film by Patrice Leconte, winner of a BAFTA and nominated for an Academy Award for 'Ridicule', as director, as well as co-writing screenplay with Jérôme Tonnerre. Adaptation of the novel 'Maigret and the dead girl', written by Georges Simenon, author of the famous literary saga starring renowned detective Jules Amédée François Maigret, which returns to theaters 56 years after the international co-production 'Enter Inspector Maigret' .

Paris, 1950s, the body of a beautiful young woman dressed in an elegant evening dress appears in the middle of a square in a suburban arrondissement. The famous inspector Jules Maigret (Gérard Depardieu) is in charge of investigating her case, but it is impossible for him to identify the victim, since absolutely no one seems to have known or remembers her. During his investigations, Maigret's path crosses that of Betty (Jade Labeste), a young woman who lives with petty theft, whose resemblance to the victim will make Maigret devise a plan to discover the identity of the deceased young woman. In the course of the investigation, Maigret will begin to recall old memories of him, since Betty's youth will remind him of the disappearance of his own daughter.
