Trailer in VO of 'Manas

Marcielle (Tielle) grows up on the banks of the river in the Amazon rainforest on Marajó Island, alongside her father, mother and three siblings. From a young age, her mother's words shape Marcielle's worldview: she idolises her older sister, who, according to the family, managed to escape the harshness of their reality by 'finding a good man' on the barges that traverse the region. Marcielle clings to this ideal, imagining that her sister's life is the promise of freedom and happiness.
