A Difficult Year

Albert and Bruno are compulsive consumers. They are in red numbers and in debt above their possibilities, living between petty schemes. When they come across a group of young and rebellious environmental activists, lovers of social justice and eco-responsibility, they don't think about it twice. More attracted by free beer and fries than by their arguments, Albert and Bruno slowly enter in the movement to take advantage of it. Between ideological suffering, consummerism and sobriety, they face the complex simplicity of their future and the paradoxes of our time.

This French comedy is written and directed by Olivier Nakache and Éric Toledano, known for their acclaimed film 'The Intouchables' and for other titles like 'C'est la vie' and 'The Specials'. In the cast we can find Mathieu Amalric ('Quantum of Solace'), Luàna Bajrami ('Portrait of a Lady on Fire'), Jonathan Cohen ('Budapest'), Jean-Louis Garçon ('Bright Minds'), Grégoire Leprince-Ringuet ('La belle personne'), Pio Marmaï ('Happening'), Noémie Merlant ('Portrait of a Lady on Fire') and Sophie Parel ('En plein feu').
