A Whale

Ingrid (Ingrid García Jonsson) works as a hitwoman. She assassinates her targets without barely blinking. However, it seems that her skills come from something supernatural. The Spanish filmmaker Pablo Hernando directs and writes 'A Whale', the fourth film of his extensive filmography. The title is a thriller that recalls film noir and cosmic horror.

Its ninety-eight minutes of footage are complemented by the performances of Ramón Barea (Melville), Kepa Errasti (Jonás), Paolo Sassanelli (Donatien Vidussoni), Xabi Tolosa (Patxi Ziñika), and Asier Tartás. The film, produced by the companies Señor & Señora, La Fábrica Nocturna Cinéma, and Orisa Produzioni, has been filmed in Spain and Italy. 'A Whale' premiered at the Sitges Festival on October 10, 2024, where it was positively received.

Stands out the performance of Ingrid García Jonsson, who previously worked with Hernando in 'Berserker', released in 2015. The actress has also excelled in the award-winning 'Un amor' and 'Veneciafrenia', where she starred in the film by Álex de la Iglesia, known for titles like 'El día de la bestia', 'Las brujas de Zugarramurdi' or '30 monedas'. García Jonsson will soon star in the miniseries 'Superestar', in which she will play Yurena.
