'Aadupuliyattam' is a film based on a 600-yr-old myth centered on the King Udayapandyan. This man ruled some provinces of Tamil Nadu, but once he was defeated in a war, he chose to take refuge in a bungalow he built for his wife, the Huntress Mathangi. In this bad situation, she promises to take care of him and sacrificed her life to the deity Bhadrakali in order to save his life. Therefore, that the spirit of Mathangi continues in the area although the years pass. A presence that ends up to affect Satyajith, a businessman who lives happily with his family.

The film is starring Jayaram, Ramya Krishnan, Sheelu Abraham and Om Puri.
