Almost Heaven

This british documentary is the debut of Carol Salter as a director and follows the 17 years old Ying Ling's induction into a new job in the funeral home of Changsha, one of the largest funeral homes in China. Far from being a morbid or dark story, this documentary proves the professionalism behind this kind of job at the same time it shows the issue of young migratory workers in China.

The documentary conveys Ying's efforts to adapt to her new life as she wonders if she is ready for her new job because she is scared of ghosts.
