Media reviews
Variety
The last 10 years have been a time of galvanizing hope and punishing despair. Both those spirits course through ?An Inconvenient Sequel,? which once again features Gore in avuncular lecture mode, as he leads his Climate Leadership Training seminars around the world.

Although it opens with a self-congratulatory note about the popularity of the first entry, ?An Inconvenient Sequel? makes it clear that the fallout to that movie only intensified criticism of Gore?s mission.
The Hollywood Reporter
Gore still is giving that famous slide show we saw in An Inconvenient Truth, continuing to add data to answer his critics.
The Verge
The film doesn't offer any surprising updates on global warming for a pseudo-woke teen with a social media stream. Nor does it lay out actionable strategies for viewers who could be persuaded to change their habits, but don't know how. In that way, it's a missed opportunity for Gore and his multi-decade agenda.
The Guardian
Eleven years later, the follow-up ? which has many of the same producers but different directors in Bonni Cohen and Jon Shenk ? is uncomfortably desultory and surprisingly vainglorious. As shocking as it may seem, you may yearn for more of those dreary lectures.
