Fotogramas
Sometimes the Ana's itinerary becomes too confused, spinningn around without showing the true cathartic drive that moves itself. The director makes a turbid dream universe and decadent over a series of characters who almost seems to dissolve as the portrait continues.
The problem is that surprise factor is lost and the film enters a maze where it does not move ahead and nor show anything new.
Cinemanía
'Ana by day', as a matter of fact, becomes in the captivating Nina at night, and trough its always attractive game of mirrors which goes too far with de doppelgänger thing, we jut out in the other face of the character and discover a cabaret and authentic Madrid , which has fallen in oblivion, between legend and dream.
It is a good start, of course, it is always nice to see someone looking for alternative ways of expression.
