The real doll
The real Annabelle is at the Warrens' Occult Museum in Monroe, Connecticut, kept in a glass case with warning signs.
Direction debut
This film is the debut from the Gary Dauberman as director. Dauberman is an expert in this saga because he has been the screenwriter of the three films of 'Annabelle'.
An Californian set
The film was shoot in various Californian localizations, such as Los Angeles and Santa Clarita.
Returning to the past
James Wan stated that the movie will pick up directly after Ed and Lorraine Warren took the Annabelle doll, in the first Annabelle movie. Therefore the movie will take place in Ed and Lorraine house, along with all the other artifacts.

A new Judy
McKenna Grace replaces Sterling Jerins as Judy Warren. Jerins played Judy in the first two Conjuring films.
