As I Open My Eyes

Leyla Bouzid directs this film with a screenplay co-written with Marie-Sophie Chambon. The story focuses on Farah and her family, who live in Tunisia. During the summer of 2010, before the Revolution, Farah just finished baccalaureate and she is on track to enroll in the university. Unlike the beliefs of her family, Farah doesn't want to become a doctor. She wants to succeed and send a message with her rock band where she sings. Unlike the traditional model, Farah lives to the fullest way, enjoy her youth and love, making party and discover a different view of the night of Tunisia. This will cause a serious conflict with her mother Hayet, who knows the limitations and dangers that women have in a country like Tunisia.
