The screenplay and designs in 2D had a lot of situations and gags happening in the main door of the Alhambra, in the arab baths and other areas but they were cut off in the 3D part due to resources problems.

The movie has been made in a lot of stages since the year 2008, the reason behind this is the lack of producers and the slowness of 3D animation.

The plot from this movie is inspired by an ancient tale in the region of Antequera, in Andalucia (Spain), known as the legend of 'la peña de los enamorados'.

The team of screenplayers Juan Ramón Ruiz de Somavia and Rafael Ruiz met as juries in a film festival, in that moment Ruiz de Somavia was writing for the series 'Aída'.
