'Balandrau: Where the Fierce Wind Blew' narrates the dramatic experience of a group of friends who, on the morning of December 30, 2000, set out to climb Balandrau, one of the most emblematic mountains of the Catalan Pyrenees. What begins as a day of hiking and camaraderie quickly turns into a survival test when an unexpected snow and wind storm, locally known as torb, hits the region with historic force.

The film closely follows the hikers' struggle to stay alive as they face extreme conditions: blizzards that reduce visibility to zero, sub-zero temperatures, and the treacherous terrain of the mountain. At the same time, it shows the organization of rescue teams, who must maneuver in a dangerous and changing environment to try to save those trapped by the storm. Every decision and every step on the mountain becomes a matter of life or death.

With an approach that combines adventure, drama, and survival, the film faithfully reconstructs the events that occurred on that fateful day, based on a true story captured in the novel '3 nits del torb i un cap d’any' by Jordi Cruz. The narrative focuses on the interaction of the group, the growing tension of the situation, and the relentless force of nature, offering a detailed portrait of how the environment can transform a routine outing into a life-threatening experience.

The main cast includes Álvaro Cervantes as Josep Maria, Bruna Cusí as Mònica, and Marc Martínez as Siscu, along with a large ensemble that completes the representation of the group of mountaineers and the rescue teams.
