Plot
Mori Masaki directs this animation movie. A powerful statement against war, 'Barefoot Gen' is a disturbing story about the effect of the atomic bomb on a boy's life and the lives of the Japanese people. The film is based on Keiji Nakazawa's manga, and it was released in 1983 in Japan. It arrived to the USA a few years later. It was no a success but in 2009 the film was released in Estonia and Switzerland, as it used to be these kind of japanes film always arrive late to Europe. 'Toki no tabibito' was the last work of the director.
