Barry Lyndon

The story begins in Ireland in the eighteenth century and tells the story of the young Redmond Barry, an Irish boy who falls in love with his cousin Nora Brady, and for her, he challenges to a duel to her fiance, the wealthy English Captain Quin, who kills, but it brings problems and is forced to emigrate to England, where he gets into the army and traveling for Europe. Barry discovers that the duel with Quin was rigged by his own family, and Nora's promised is actually not dead, and he also married her while Barry was out. Barry takes an erratic life in England, eking out their lives as he can, but his dream is achieve to the high social position, getting married a wealthy widow, Lady Lyndon.
