Beauties of the Night

'Bellas de noche' tells the story of Maria Jose Cuevas, Olga Breeskin, Lin May, Princess Yamal, Wanda Seux and Rossy Mendoza. This documentary is María José Cuevas' first feature film, and it treats the stories of Mexican cabaret stars in the seventies and eighties. Today's beauty standards have changed over time and have nothing to do with cabaret women. According to the director, there are two very different beauties that change over time. And to discover it takes a lot of time. The documentary rescues the story of five women who were stars once. The film starring these women has been exhibited at Los Cabos International Film Festival.
