Plot
'Boxing for Freedom' tells the story of Sadaf Rahimi, a young woman who will have to overcome her fears and confront the traditions of her country to practice the sport she loves and get to be free.
Rahimi, the best boxer of Afghanistan, decided to join the nacional team of female boxing with only thirteen years, and since then she has struggled to achieve success enduring a path filled with difficulties. Her courage has become the symbol of the struggle for the rights of Afghan women and a reference for many young girls who yearn for freedom as much as her.
The film, which was recorded over four years in Afghanistan, has been selected in many festivals, like the 2015 European Film Awards .
Juan Antonio Moreno Amador and Silvia Venegas directs this documentary that is the only Spanish one selected for this awards.
