Candyman

At the University of Chicago, the student Helen Lyle (Virginia Madsen) approaches the story of the Candyman, a ghost with a hook instead of a hand who appears every time someone pronounces his name five times in front of a mirror. A teacher explains her that Candyman is the vengeful spirit of a black slave who died mutilated by a mob. The motive of the murder was the accusation of having raped a white woman. When the ritual begins and the Candyman's name is pronounced five times, a series of supernatural events starts. It ends up in terrible massacres, in which she is the same murderer.

The film will have two more movies launched in 1995 and 1999, all with Tony Todd as the Candyman. It also will have a remake in 2020.
