Coartadas

Miguel (Jaime Lorente) is a somewhat peculiar businessman. He runs an unusual company that some might even consider immoral. The company Coartadas specializes in creating personalized excuses for its clients, each with their own needs. Their services cover false stories and alibis of any degree, from escaping a commitment to hiding infidelity.

During one of his assignments, he meets Noelia (Adriana Torrebejano). Just like what makes up Miguel's life, their encounter is unorthodox. Despite this, a spark ignites between them. Unlike him, she is a judge and hates lies and fraud. So Miguel decides to hide his profession to keep her in his life.

One day, Noelia invites Miguel to meet her parents. To Miguel's surprise, his father-in-law (Leo Harlem) and he had already met before. Moreover, Noelia's father had been one of his clients. He had hired Coartadas' services to hide his infidelity from his wife.

Miguel finds himself between a rock and a hard place: continue the lie of the father or risk Noelia's rejection by telling her the truth.

A romantic comedy that shows how far we are willing to lie to protect those we love and how long we can maintain it if we find ourselves in danger of losing our other half.
