Cuckoo

'Cuckoo' tells the story of Gretchen, a 17-year-old girl who travels to the German Alps with her father and stepmother. However, this trip will not be what they expected, and in the small village where they are staying, the darkest secrets begin to be uncovered. Gretchen begins to hear suspicious and strange noises, sees a horrible woman chasing her in her dreams or hallucinations, and unwittingly becomes involved in a conspiracy from which it will not be easy to escape. Strange experiments are discovered to be carried out by the owner of the spa where the protagonist is staying with her family. 

'Cuckoo' moves within the codes of horror and intrigue, although it has not received overly positive reviews in terms of its approach to the genre. Tilman Singer is the director and screenwriter of this feature film starring Hunter Schafer as Gretchen, Jan Bluthardt, Marton Csokas, Jessica Henwick, Dan Stevens, Mila Lieu, Greta Fernández, Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey and Proschat Madani, among others. 

Singer's film premiered at numerous festivals, although it did not have a theatrical release in Spain. Produced by Neon, Fiction Park, and Waypoint Entertainment, it is now available on the Prime Video streaming platform.
