Dog 51

It is the year 2045. Paris has been fragmented into three zones. Each one follows certain orders, and the city's inhabitants are rigidly segregated with their social class as an indicator. A surveillance and security system called ALMA has been implemented. It operates through artificial intelligence and is everywhere. Apart from monitoring, it can also predict crimes, calculate probabilities, and successfully direct police operations.

But not everyone agrees with the omnipresent eye, and the creator of ALMA is murdered. As a result, a crisis unfolds that gradually causes the foundations supporting order and society to crumble.

The authorities decide to assign the case to two highly trained agents but with completely opposing methods of operation. On one side, Salia (Adèle Exarchopoulos) is an elite agent with a privileged background and an ambitious attitude. On the other side, Zem (Gilles Lellouche) is a veteran police officer, tough in character, who has lost his motivation due to various confrontations he has had to engage in throughout his career.

Both discover dark threads that go beyond the murder. Logic and moral boundaries come into play. A science fiction film intertwined with a police thriller. ‘'Dog 51'’ promises a dystopia that envisions a future where society is monitored and digital power replaces human justice.
