El fotógrafo de Mauthausen's reviews
Media reviews
Cinemanía
Direct and effective, what is told on the screen is so intense that it gets the hardest heart emotional.
El País
'El fotógrafo de Mauthausen', directed by Mar Targarona is not an super-production, its means are quite limited, but that is not an obstacle to achieve a worthy chronicle, something that I do not get rid of from beginning to end, sometimes it causes me certain discomfort and tenderness.

Despite staying away from milestones such as 'The Schindler's List' due to some lack of rotundity, contains enough hits to match other exciting minor titles set in this terrifying scenario.
ABC
Mar Targarona opts for a fluid narration, "easy", that wanders through the center of the tragedy without stepping on the lines of the extreme and that takes advantage of the resources of an intrigue to maintain the dramatic interest [...] it prevents the film deepening in the authentic tragedy and, in a certain way, in the emotion, or commotion, that other works have achieved in the same territory, time and context.
El Mundo
The actors, with Mario Casas in the lead, put their best effort to give credibility, at least physically, to characters of little relief who move like puppets in situations devoid of atmosphere
El Periódico
Despite the magnificent starting point, the film fails to delve into many of the interesting questions it raises, such as the fascination with horror through images, and it also does not function as a survival film, with its scope being minimized to mere succession of incidents. [...] Nothing singularizes it, only a Mario Casas who does not need to lose weight to show his talent.
