Plot
This documentary film focuses on Carlo Acutis, the 15-year-old boy who died from leukemia in 2006, and the Eucharistic miracles he investigated. Animated fragments are shown about the Eucharistic miracles and fictional recreations about the life of the protagonist and even his original, unpublished voice. In the film we can see Andrea Cutis, Carlo's father, who gives his testimony on the subject for the first time.
It also includes interviews with friends, the parish priest who confessed to him, the postulator of the beatification process or his caretaker, the Indian Rajesh Mohur, a member of a Brahmin priestly caste who embraced Catholicism thanks to the daily example of the Italian blessed. Antonia Salzano, Carlo Acutis' mother, will be key to telling the story and introduces viewers to the miracles of Sokólka (Poland), Tixtla (Mexico), Argentina and Fátima (Portugal).
To all these points of view is added the vision of scientists who explain how they have found remains of flesh and blood in the consecrated hosts, which are preserved intact today despite the years (in some cases, even centuries) that have passed since then. . These remains of meat correspond, according to these experts, to myocardial (heart) tissues, while those of blood belong to group AB, the same one detected in the Shroud of Turin.
José María Zavala co-directs with his Borja Zavala, the executive producer of the feature film "Heaven can't wait", seen by more than 200,000 spectators around the world (almost 40,000 in Spain) in the big screen.
