Eloisa Is Underneath an Almond Tree

This film is directed by Rafael Gil in 1943, and it is based on the homonymous novel written by Enrique Jardiel Poncela, a writer and playwright associated with the ?absurd theater?.

The story follows Fernando's life, played by Rafael Duran, who decided to come back home after his father death. Moreover, he finds a letter, in which his father asks him to solve the mystery about Eloise disappearance.

This situation, takes him to meet some strange people, but Mariana, played by Amparo Rivellles with whom he will early engage .

Thus, both of them will face different situations and will have to make thousands of adventures and solve the Eloise crime , who curiously kept resemblance to Mariana.
