Plot
In 1985, the Asturian director Antonio R. Cabal released 'Sahara', the first Spanish film that was sold in China. In it, two young people from Madrid will enter the Sahara desert in the 70s with their Land Rover to cross it and live an adventure. Of course, things get complicated when they realize that, in reality, they were very unprepared for the trip.
This means that the couple gets messed with dangerous and mortal challenges due to the irregular land and the arrival of pirate bandits. Along the way they will meet three Frenchmen and a Targui village, whose princess, a girl of only about six years old, will give a magical touch to the odyssey. This 7,200 kilometers long 'road movie' will end in the previously mentioned Tuareg town, in Algeria, to show the beauty of this part of the world.
More than thirty years later, and with the original film being lost, the 'Sahara' team has recovered the 25,000 discarded negatives from the film to reimagine them with new material, soundtrack and image correction. This is the result of 'End of Trip Sahara', a film directed (again) by Antonio R. Cabal that will also be released internationally thanks to the cooperation of the Ministerio de Cultura.
