Far from the Trees

Documentary directed by Jacinto Esteva, one of the most renowned Catalan documentary. It is his fourth feature film after having directed "Dante is not only severe ',' Metamorphosis' and 'After the Flood'. It is a collection of own moments of Spanish regional folklore. Esteva takes us through every corner of Spain to show the various customs that were in each region and the Spanish people in a time when the country had not yet modernized and still kept outdated folklore where religion and death are very present. In 2015, 43 years after its original release, it has watched again in cinemas across Spain, a chance to learn more about the reality of another era. Important people like Antonio Gades appears in the film.
