'Fatima' trivia and fun facts

'Fatima' was the winner of three Cesar awards, including Best Picture.

Soria Zeroual, who plays Fatima in the film, had never been an actress, throughout her life she worked as a cleaning woman too.

Film is based on books 'Prière à la lune (Pray to the Moon)' and 'Enfin, je peux marcher seule (Finally, I can walk alone)', by Fatima Elayoubi.

Fatima Elayoubi's novels are based in her own experience as maid and immigrant woman.

Producer Fabienne Vonnier came to Philippe Faucon with the project but unfortunately died before work started.
