Freaky Tales

Clint (Pedro Pascal) is a weary henchman of a mafia located in Oakland, California. Although he assures his girlfriend that he is about to retire, he is forced to get involved in one last mission: to rob and assault the mansion of Sleepy Floyd (Jay Ellis), a spectacular National Basketball Association player.

On the other hand, a group of teenage punks fights in the streets against their fierce rivals, a group of neo-Nazis composed by skinheads. At the same time, a hip-hop duo tries to break into the rhythmic music scene of the eighties.

These four premises intertwine and clash in 'Freaky Tales', the new film from the 'Captain Marvel''s directors, Anna Boden ('Sugar') and Ryan Fleck ('Half Nelson'). They also wrote the screenplay for the title, which debuted at the recent Sundance Film Festival.

Well-known Tom Hanks joins the cast of 'Freaky Tales' alongside names like Ben Mendelsohn, Keir Gilchrist, Jack Champion, Ji-young Yoo, Dominique Thorne, Michael X. Sommers, Yong Kim, and even Angus Cloud. This is the last work of the actor after he sadly passed away in 2023 because of an accidental overdose. The film is distributed by Lionsgate in the United States, arriving in American theaters the Fourth of April.
