From afar

Presented at the 63rd edition of the San Sebastián International Film Festival, 'From Afar' is the debut of Venezuelan Lorenzo Vigas, who directs this drama centered on Armando, a man in his fifties who is owner of a dental laboratory and who spend his free time searching men down the street for bring them to his home and observe them while their are masturbating in exchange for money. Through these meetings he meets Elder, a violent and rebel teenager who leads a street gang. After taking him home, they begin a turbulent relationship that will lead them to difficult situations never expected. In addition, Armando has another obsession: observe and an elderly man with who Elder also end obsessed. The film is starring Alfredo Castro and Luis Alejandro Silva, and the script is written by the own Lorenzo Vigas with Guillermo Arriaga.
