It could be an unfair fight
The problem of the height difference between Godzilla and King Kong is something that worried the director from the beginning, but according to Adam Wingard the fact that in 'Kong: Skull Island' they mentioned that Kong still had a lot to grow gave him a lot more advantage than if he had nothing to hold on to.
Heroic past
Julian Dennison, Danai Gurira, Rebecca Hall, and Brian Tyree Henry have all worked on Marvel movies. Dennison was Firefist in Deadpool 2 (2018), Gurira was Okoye in Black Panther (2018), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019), Rebecca Hall was Maya Hansen in Iron Man 3 (2013), and Tyree Henry was Jefferson Davis in Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse (2018).

Adam Wingard confessed in an interview that during his childhood he felt identified with some of these monsters on numerous occasions. It is for this reason that he wanted to add more emotional elements to this film so that the public is invested with the stories not only of the humans but of the monsters as well.

The film takes place directly after 'Godzilla: King of the Monsters' (2019) and 47 years after 'Kong: Skull Island' (2017), as that film took place in the year 1973.
Will be the first movie...
This will be the first film in 58 years to feature both King Kong and Godzilla. It will be the second time both creatures fight on the big screen.
