Plot

''Gone in the Night'' is a psychological thriller directed by Eli Horowitz, known for his work on series like 'Homecoming'.

The film follows Kath, played by Winona Ryder, who arrives at a remote cabin with her boyfriend in the woods for a weekend. They encounter a younger couple also staying at the location. When Kath's boyfriend mysteriously disappears with the woman from the other couple, she becomes obsessed with discovering what has happened.

The main cast includes Winona Ryder, Dermot Mulroney, John Gallagher Jr., and Owen Teague. Additionally, young actress Brianne Tju rounds out the main cast. The screenplay is written by the director Eli Horowitz, along with novelist Matthew Derby.

The film immerses us in a tense and mysterious atmosphere, with unsettling dialogues between the characters and a mood that seems to seep into the recesses of the protagonist's mind, occupying even the smallest space. The cinematography, by Zach Kuperstein, has a sober and minimalist visual style that complements the introspective and psychological tone of the story.

''Gone in the Night'' premiered in Spanish cinemas on January 2, 2023. The film was presented at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival and has received positive reviews for its ability to generate tension and keep the viewer intrigued until the end.
