Harry & Snowman

Harry deLeyer, a Dutch immigrant, travelled to the United States after World War II and developed a transformative relationship with an Amish plow horse which he rescued off a slaughter truck. Harry paid 80 dollars for the horse, named him Snowman, and the rest is history. In less than two years, Harry and Snowman won the triple crown of show jumping, beating the nations blue bloods along the way. From then on in, they were a famous duo and travelled the world together. A chance meeting at a Pennsylvania horse auction saved both individuals and crafted a lifelong friendship. In this moving documentary, directed by Ron Davis, Harry tells the fairytale story of his beloved horse as he continues to train in the show jumping circuit.
