Hive

Blerta Basholli presents her first film, 'Hive', a drama starring Yllka Gashi. The story is centered in Fahrije, a woman who lost her husband in the Kosovo War. She has to find a way to sustain the family. In order to do that, she decides to start selling agricultural products from her own house. This idea isn't seen as something right in her village, where they don't see a woman as someone capable of maintaining a family alone. 'Hive' was very successful at the Sundance Film Festival, earning the Jury and the Audience awards, and Blerta Basholli winning the Best Directing award. Yllka Gashi won the Best Actress award at the Valladolid Film Festival. The cast also features C?un Lajc?i, Aurita Agushi and Kumrije Hoxha.
