Plot
''Hombre bala'' is a documentary film directed by Anuska Ariztimuño.
Hombre bala is an intense and very intimate documentary that brings to the screen something more than just a simple musical chronicle. It is a journey to the creative and vital heart of Mikel Erentxun, one of the most influential musicians in the Spanish scene.
Over almost 80 minutes, the film dissects his forty years of artistic career, from the early successes with Duncan Dhu to his solo career, using a tour of greatest hits and the celebration of that trajectory as a narrative axis.
Although the camera does not stay only on the professional side, it delves deeply into the personal life of the artist. That is to say, his reflections on the passage of time, his fears (especially the fear of aging and death) and the decisions he is facing as he turns 60 years old.
Among memories, conversations with friends, family, and colleagues like Eva Amaral, Luz Casal, Enrique Bunbury, or Iván Ferreiro, and scenes in the studio or on stage, ''Hombre bala'' shows the most human side of Erentxun, without filters or masks.
The film does not shy away from painful moments, abandonment, creative crises, or the relationships with those who have shared part of his life. Rather, it proposes a deep reflection on what separates the ordinary from the extraordinary in a life dedicated to music, to art, and to personal coherence.
