How to Make a Killing

In a small village in the Jura, Michel and Cathy live, the parents of a problematic 12-year-old boy named Doudou. They are dedicated to selling Christmas trees, a business that does not bring much economic benefit as they struggle with the financial problems that gradually undermine the relationship between the couple. Everything changes when one day, upon arriving home, Michel miraculously avoids hitting a huge bear in the middle of the road but ends up colliding with another vehicle occupied by two people who lose their lives on the spot. Seeing the complicated situation he faces, he asks his partner for help, who suggests getting rid of the two bodies. While trying to do so, they discover a bag full of money in the trunk, around two million euros. To avoid suspicion, they are willing to accept all the ideas that come their way, no matter how absurd they may be. Unknowingly, they will become entangled in a dynamic where absurdity takes over the entire situation.

Franck Dubosc directs this story, which he writes together with Sarah Kaminsky. Franck Dubosc and Laure Calamy bring the main couple to life. The rest of the cast is completed by Benoît Poelvoorde, Joséphine de Meaux, Kim Higelin, Mehdi Meskar, Timéo Mahaut, Emmanuelle Devos, Louka Meliava, Jean-Louis Loca, Christophe Canard, Anne Le Ny, Anne-Lise Heimburger, Jeremy Senelier, Harish Chanemougam, Purshoothe Thayalan, Lakshan Abenayake, and Salim Sylla.
