Hutch is a little bee. She is separated from her home because of an attack by hornets. Hutch desperately seek her mother, the Queen Bee. During her journey she meets many insects that will help as Kunekune caterpillar or the dung beetle Poncho . Her arrival at Sepiatown start on the wrong way when a European mantis, called Kamakichi try to end the life of Hutch, Amy a human who is able to communicate with insects and she will save the little bee, this situation marks the beginning of a beautiful friendship and starting to find definitely Hutch 's mother.
