I'm Not a Rebel

'I'm Not a Rebel' is a politic comedy coproduced between Mexico and Spain and directed by Sergio Sanchez, also responsible of the script. The story is placed in Mexico in 1969, in the middle of the Dirty War with the guerrillero groups rising. The Mexican government see the students as the enemy number one, they catch them to interrogate and they're never seen again. In this context, Mitch is a young student from a wealthy family who is in love with Beatriz, a girl that was caught by the Mexican police accused of traitor and Communist beliefs. As a result, Mitch and his two friends kidnap a comercial flight impersonating guerrilleros and they will have to face a tough general, with the objective in mind of achieving Beatriz's freedom.
