In Love With Lou

This German movie is directed by Cordula Kablitz-Post ('Nina Hagen - Godmother of Punk') and it is a biopic of the Russian writer Lou Andreas-Salomé.

Lou Andreas-Salomé, who is played by Nicole Heesters ('Meschugge'), was born in 1861 and died in 1937. During her live, she was considered a woman very advanced for the era she lived in due to having some controversial ideas.

She traveled to Berlin, Viena and other European cities, she was friend y adviser of people like the philosopher Nietszche or the founder of psychoanalysis Freud. She joined with the more brilliant minds of her era and she had a relationship with the Austro-Hungarian poet Rainer Maria Riike that is reflected in the movie.
