Matt Damon agreed to play Jason Bourne again only after Universal recover Paul Greengrass as the director.

Jeremy Renner's character, Aaron Cross, will not be in this new Bourne film, but he will have his sequel after this film is released.

Paul Greengrass has directed two other installments in the 'Bourne' franchise. That being 'The Bourne Ultimatum' (2007) and 'The Bourne Supremacy' (2004).
