Jonas Kaufmann: My Italy

The documentary is dedicated to the close relationship between Italy and Kaufmann with this country, a bond that was born many years ago, when Kaufmann went to Italy on vacation with his family. Jonas Kaufmann wanted to convey s intense relationship with Italy from his childhood, interspersed with recordings made by the father of the performer when he was only eight years old. Kaufmann tells us how as a child, his family chose to go on a vacation to Italy with the intention of enjoying the sun and the beach, cultural visits to discover all their secrets. The tenor presents himself as a spectator from Italy.

The film by Anca-Monica Pandelea documents the special affinity of Kaufmann with the Italian language, its way of life and culture - as well as of course, its music. Fanatic of good Italian food, espresso and cheerful atmosphere of its people.
