Plot
Juliette is a 30-year-old young illustrator of children's books who decides to leave the city to reunite with her family for a few days.
Her father is such a reserved person that he can only express himself through jokes, while her mother is a painter who lives life to the fullest. Her beloved grandmother is losing her mind, and her sister is a mother consumed by her family, overwhelmed by the day-to-day.
This film reflects on depression and the difficulty of expressing your discomfort within the family environment. In this chaotic story full of memories, upon returning home, Juliette will also encounter Pollux, a charming man, while secrets begin to come to light.
Blandine Lenoir is the director and screenwriter of 'Juliette in Spring,' alongside Maud Ameline and Camille Jourdy, bringing this comedy to life starring Izïa Higelin (Juliette), Sophie Guillemin (Marylou), Jean-Pierre Darroussin (Léonard), Noémie Lvovsky (Nathalie), Salif Cissé (Pollux), Éric Caravaca (Stéphane), Thomas de Pourquery (Adrien), and Liliane Rovère (grandmother Simone); being Lenoir's first adaptation based on the graphic novel 'Juliette, the ghosts return in spring' by Camille Jourdy.
A drama that combines humor with tragedy, love, sexuality, grief, and motherhood, these are some of the themes addressed in 'Juliette in Spring.'
