La ley de Sodoma

In an indeterminate future, where justice has adopted the perverse doctrine of the “right to the presumption of guilt” and where “everything is legal, but nothing is legitimate,” a trial opens in the High Court that shamelessly exposes the moral degradation of the system. The accused appears before the bench and accepts without resistance the crime she is charged with: having spoken the truth. Eager to possess and be possessed by the power that judges her, she requests through her lawyer an unusual act: to engage in intercourse with her honor as part of the proceedings. Against all logic, the request is approved and the trial continues enveloped in a ceremonial atmosphere as solemn as it is obscene.

A phone interrupts the room, completely disrupting the procedural order. A new instruction immediately transforms the case: the accused becomes the lawyer, and her former defender is now the accused for the murder of his wife, a crime he confesses to having committed out of love. Remorseful, he is declared guilty… until a new call suspends the sentence and dictates an even more absurd twist: the judge is turned into the accused and the woman, now a lawyer, is appointed as the judge.

This constant exchange of identities and hierarchies turns the trial into a grotesque ceremony where no one retains their role for more than a few minutes. The arbitrariness reveals a machinery of power that no longer hides its true nature: a system where the law is merely a disguise and morality an interchangeable artifice. The satire thus exposes the fragility of the values that sustain our civilization and dismantles, with dark humor, the mechanisms that govern authority, guilt, and truth.
