Actor and comedian Adam Sandler draws laughs with his unmistakable style in this animated musical comedy about the last year of elementary school as seen through the class mascot. In the original version, Leo (Sandler) voices a 74-year-old lizard back from everything. He has been stuck in a Florida classroom for decades with his terrarium colleague, a turtle (Bill Burr). Until he finds out that he only has one year to live and decides to flee to spend it in freedom. However, he ends up immersed in the problems of distraught students and a horrible substitute teacher. This is the strangest but most comforting list of everything to do before you die.
The animated film is directed by Robert Smigel, Robert Marianetti ('Hotel Transylvania 2') and David Wachtenheim ('Despicable Me') from a script by Paul Sado, Robert Smigel and Adam Sandler.
It features an English voice cast consisting of Adam Sandler, Bill Burr, Cecily Strong, Jason Alexander, Rob Schneider, Sadie Sandler, Sunny Sandler, Jackie Sandler, Heidi Gardner, Nick Swardson, Nicholas Turturro, Robert Smigel, Jo Koy and Stephanie Hsu.
