Locked In

'Locked In' is a French-British psychological thriller directed by Nour Wazzi with script by Rowan Joffé. The film stars Framke Jannsen, Finn Cole and Rose Williams, and was released worldwide on Netflix on November 1st 2023.

The film starts with Katherine (Janssen) paralyzed at a hospital bed after a car accident. She only can blink, although her nurse Nicky (Friel) has made a system so she can communicate. That's when she confesses that somebody has tried to kill her. But, who is the culprit of her accident?

Then, we start knowing about Katherine's story with flashbacks. They start 13 years ago, when she adopted Lina (Williams), who three years later ended up marrying her biological son Jamie (Cole). Katherine is convinced that Lina's wedding was only for the money, because her late husband left all his fortune to his son Jamie. However, Lina soon becomes frustrated in her relationship with Jamie and starts an affair with Robert, the family doctor. It is Robert's idea to kill Jamie and make it seem it was an accident. Soon Lina will be totally controlled by Robert, who also plays with Katherine and her secrets. But who is the ultimate responsible of what happened?

'Locked in' was shot in London and other locations across the UK, particularly in St. Albans, and is completely shot in english despite being a French coproduction.
