Lumiere!

When brothers Lumière invented the cinematograph in 1895, the history of the cinema began. 'Lumiere!' delivers a selection of movies filmed by the two inventors, narrated by Thierry Frémaux, director of the French Institut Lumière. All the scenes have been carefully restored for the occasion, giving a new life to those first in movement filmed images. Therefore, the documentary takes us on a journey to the dawn of the seventh art, at the beginning of the XXth century. Besides, the movie has a reconstruction of 'Workers Leaving the Lumière Factory', the first scene filmed by the brothers, and also the first production in the history of cinema. This recreation brings a cameo of the famous film director Martin Scorsese.
